Catherine Bennett, MSN, APRN, CCRN, AGACNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner at Global Family Medicine and Urgent Care in Bluffton, South Carolina. She is board certified in adult geriatric acute care and provides high-quality family medicine services for people of all ages.
Catherine works closely with Gaston Perez, MD, FAAFP, FAARFM, the founder and owner of Global Family Medicine and Urgent Care. She has worked in both progressive and intensive care units, tending to a wide range of urgent care concerns.
Catherine attended Technical College of the Lowcountry in Beaufort, South Carolina, where she earned her associate’s degree in health science, nursing. She received a Master of Science in Nursing Education, with a subspecialty in Critical Care, from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Catherine is certified as a critical care registered nurse. She has a Post-Master's Certificate in Nursing, specializing in adult, geriatric, and acute care, from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia.
She has worked as a nurse educator in the education department of Beaufort Memorial Hospital, as well as at Technical College of the Lowcountry. Catherine also worked at a Level I trauma center in Greenville, South Carolina, before launching her own practice.
At Global Family Medicine and Urgent Care, Catherine prioritizes the importance of preventive medicine through lifestyle modifications, a healthy diet, exercise, immunizations, and regular screenings. She provides a variety of acute care services and treatment for chronic illnesses like thyroid disorders.
Outside of work, Catherine enjoys weekend getaways at the local waterways in Bluffton with her daughter, Katelyn.
